Careers Human Resources Excellence in Research Award
The ICN2 welcomes the Commission Recommendation of 11 March 2005 and commits itself to applying the principles stated in the corresponding European Charter for Researchers & Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers.
The ICN2 HR Department is therefore tasked with ensuring that the Institute meets its goals of excellence through the analysis of current HR policies and the application of the principles set out in the aforementioned Charter.
The Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R) is the mechanism through which the European Commission seeks to ensure that concrete steps are taken by institutions to enhance working conditions for researchers across Europe as set out in the Charter & Code. Recognition of these steps takes the form of the HR Excellence in Research Badge, which identifies those institutions and organisations that are committed to offering a favourable working environment in research.
The ICN2 is developing actions in four major areas:
- Ethical and professional aspects
- Working conditions and social security
- Training and development
- Open, transparent and merit-based recruitment (OTM-R)
