CSIC has just published the first edition of the Ranking of Spanish and foreign female researchers working in Spain. This initiative led by CSIC’s Cybermetrics Lab aims to increase the visibility of female researchers and their work.
As part of the commitment of the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC) to gender equality policies, on June 2022 it has published the first edition of the Ranking of Spanish and foreign female researchers working in Spain. The ranking is curated according to the data of their personal public profiles in Google Scholar. This edition includes 5000 researchers ranked according to the highest h-index and secondarily by number of citations.
The "Webometrics Ranking of World Universities" is an initiative of the Cybermetrics Lab, a research group belonging to CSIC. CSIC is the largest public research body in Spain and among the first basic research organizations in Europe. The CSIC comprises 126 centers and institutes distributed throughout Spain.
We invite you to explore this list which was created with the aim to increase the visibility of female researchers and their work. The list is based on data from a public tool that is easy to manage and consult, which offers a much greater and less biased coverage than other commonly used tools. CSIC encourages all colleagues to create a Google Scholar profile, including ORCID and other identifiers, and keep their publication list up to date.
